Our research project entitled Experiences of Mexican Women When Accessing Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) in California and Mexico: Effects of Globalization and Immigration Policies explores how Mexican women ages 18-45 who have migrated to California in the last five years learn about and procure services and supplies from formal (doctors, nurses and pharmacies) and informal (curanderas, parteras, yerberas, bodegas or friends and family) sources of healthcare for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), family planning, and abortion.
