The INDSTAT3 2006 ISIC Rev. 2 database contains time series data for the period 1963 to 2004 for 181 countries. The data are arranged at the 3-digit level of the ISIC, Rev. 2, pertaining to the manufacturing sector, which comprises 29 manufacturing categories.
The
INDSTAT4 2007 ISIC Rev. 2 database contains time series data for the
period 1981 to 2004 for 116 countries. The data are arranged at the 4-digit
level of the ISIC, Rev. 2, pertaining to the manufacturing sector, which
comprises 81 manufacturing categories.
The INDSTAT4 2007 ISIC Rev. 3 database contains time series data for the period 1990 to 2004 for 113 countries. The data are arranged at the 3- and 4-digit level of the ISIC, Rev. 3, pertaining to the manufacturing sector, which comprises 151 manufacturing categories.
Information is presented by country, year and ISIC category: number of establishments, employment, wages and salaries, output, value added, gross fixed capital formation, number of female employees and production indexes. All value data are originally stored in national currency values at current prices. The system allows for data conversion from national currency into current U.S. dollars using the average period exchange rates as given in the IMF International Financial Statistics (IFS) under series rf. Period coverage as well as item coverage differs from country to country.
