Identifying Funding Sources
IGA provides assistance in securing funding for social science research. The links below provide general information on major funding sources and are meant to serve as an introduction to the range of possibilities. In reviewing possible funders, pay close attention to their specific interests and goals and how well they match your proposed project. Review recently funded projects and consider whether they have funded work in your area, projects at public research universities like UC Davis, principal investigators at a stage similar to your own, have awarded funding at levels in the same ballpark as your likely request, etc. Conversely, make sure they haven’t funded anything that seems to be too close to your own project.
